A journey of Sufism with Rumi

We are bringing you some of the soul touching and enlightening quotes by Sufi mystic Rumi.

When a man in his thirst drinks water from cup, he sees God in it. Those who are not in love with God will see only their own faces in it.

I think about it all time, and then at night I say it. Where did I come from? And what am I supposed to be doing? I belong to somewhere else. My soul is of elsewhere and I intend to end up there.

I learnt that our task is not to seek love, but merely to seek and find our self made obstacles which are keeping us from love.

Silence is an ocean.  Speech is a river. Silence is the language of God, all else is poor translation.

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right doing, there is a field. I will meet you there.

“When I’m with you, we stay up all night.

When you are not here, I can’t go to sleep.

Praise God for those insomnias and the difference between them.
